Because this is a free service, it doesn't rely on actual real-time data from carriers since that data costs quite a bit. Line types (such as VoIP detection) are accurate up to a margin of error of 5%. Since all carriers are checked programmatically, if a line is VoIP, we don't get data back from the carriers - it's a very accurate guess, but it's still not 100% accurate. The same applies to other line types, which can usually deviate a few percent from the actual values. Carrier data doesn't deviate except if the number is ported to a different carrier. If the number is ported, then unfortunately there's no live lookup available since those APIs cost money.

All phone numbers uploaded are encrypted and secure. Phone numbers also get deleted one hour after you leave the site.
